Our partnership with Angels for Higher and the Chicago Cubs is exciting for the Down Syndrome Association NWI…As a mom, watching my girl greet fans and their reaction to her is awesome! Cubs fans are warm and make her feel like just another employee…Simple, but heartwarming when people tell you all the things your baby won’t do when they are born.”
We are so grateful to the Chicago Cubs and Angels for Higher for giving our kids this opportunity. Our kids just want to be given the opportunity to gain greater independence. Kyle working for the Cubs is a dream come true!”
It is so wonderful to not only be an ambassador for the Cubs (which makes Zach so proud) but to also be a positive ambassador for people with DS…Having our young adults out there, working and making a positive impact is so wonderful to watch!! It is a win-win for both the employees and the Cubs community!!...Thank you to the Cubs organization and the Angels for Higher for this chance to shine!”

When our son Cole was born and we found out he had Down syndrome, some of our first worries as parents were—Will he have friends? Will he be able to get a job? Who would have thought 18 years later that he not only has a job, but with the Chicago Cubs, working alongside his best friends! Thank you to the Chicago Cubs and Angels for Higher for this amazing opportunity!”

“5,000,000 people attended the Cubs’ victory parade & rally after we won the World Series in 2016...it was the 7th largest gathering of humans in history—definitely the largest sports-related crowd ever...several generations of Cub fans had waited 108 years since our last World Championship...they were packed like sardines several blocks deep around Wrigley Field...for weeks afterwards, local cemeteries were filled with Cub fans leaving hats, jerseys and messages to their ancestors like, “We finally did it Grandpa”...there was a significant spike in the number of births at local hospitals nine months later...”
